Dieser Olympische Berg hat es in sich! Auf dem Montjuic in Barcelona drängeln sich die Sehenswürdigkeiten (Palau Nacional, Kunstmuseum, Fundació Joan Miró, Poble Espanyol sowie ein wunderbares Restaurant “El Xalet” mit Blick über die Stadt) nur so. Für alle davon war leider nicht die Zeit, aber für das Fussballstadion, den Park und die Kaskaden unterhalb des MNAC, dem Katalanischen Nationalen Kunstmuseum. Wie es häufig so ist im Urlaub, steht irgendwann die Sonne hoch am Himmel und das Licht ist weniger geeignet für das Photographieren. Für dieses Bild habe ich diese Kontraste genutzt und die Kamera knapp über den Wasserspiegel eines Kanals der vielen Kaskaden gehalten. Durch die tiefe Perspektive verschwindet die Umgebung hinter der Kante des Wasserbeckens und der Blick konzentriert sich auf den Fluchtpunkt, die starken Kontraste und Reflektionen und nicht zuletzt auf die kunstvoll gestaltete Antenne von Telefonica oder die Person am Horizont.
In der Nachbearbeitung habe ich genau diese Eindrücke verstärkt, Farbwerte reduziert, Kontraste verstärkt, die wenigen perspektivschen Verzerrungen meines Lieblingsweitwinkels (Nikkor 14-24mm) korrigiert und ein wenig Verschmutzung von der Wasseroberfläche eliminiert. Den Besuch dort kann ich nur jedem empfehlen.

This olympic mountain is just great! Dozens of curiosities are close together on the Montjuic in Barcelona (Palau Nacional, art museum, Fundació Joan Miró, Poble Espanyol plus an amazing restaurant “El Xalet” with a beautiful view over the city). Unfortunately the time wasn’t there to view all of that, but it sufficed for the football stadium, the park and the cascades beyond the MNAC, the national catalonian art museum. Often when you travel the conditions with the light sun high on the sky aren’t perfect to capture photos, but for this picture I practiced with the non perfect conditions. Using the low perspective directly above the water I hided the surrounding and focused on the depth of field, the lines and strong contrasts of the light that the view follows now. Last but not least the fancy mobile antenna of Telefonica catches the eyes but also the person at the horizon.
Within the post production I basically emphazised on these things, ampflified the contrasts, reduced the tones and saturation, corrected the few distortions of my favourite lens (Nikkor 14-24mm) and eliminated some dirt of the water surface. I just can recommend to visit this great place.
